Golden September 2025: Loaders & Excavators Domestic Sales Up Over 20% YoY

According to statistics from major excavator manufacturers released by the China Construction Machinery Association, in September 2025, a total of 19,858 various types of excavators were sold, representing a year-on-year growth of 25.4%. Among them, domestic sales reached 9,249 units, with a year-on-year increase of 21.5%, and export volume stood at 10,609 units, achieving a year-on-year growth of 29%.

From January to September 2025, the cumulative sales of various excavators amounted to 174,039 units, showing a year-on-year growth of 18.1%. Specifically, domestic sales during this period were 89,877 units, up 21.5% year-on-year, and exports totaled 84,162 units, with a year-on-year growth of 14.6%.

In September 2025, 31 electric excavators were sold, distributed across different tonnage classes as follows: 5 units under 6 tons, 17 units in the 18.5 - 28.5 ton class, 1 unit in the 28.5 - 40 ton class, and 8 units above 40 tons.

Regarding loaders, statistics from major loader manufacturers under the China Construction Machinery Association indicated that in September 2025, 10,530 various types of loaders were sold, achieving a remarkable year-on-year growth of 30.5%. Domestic sales of loaders reached 5,051 units, with a year-on-year increase of 25.6%, while export volume hit 5,479 units, surging by 35.3% year-on-year.

For the January - September 2025 period, the cumulative sales of various loaders reached 93,739 units, with a year-on-year growth of 14.6%. Domestic sales during this span were 49,996 units, up 20.7% year-on-year, and exports totaled 43,743 units, with a year-on-year growth of 8.3%.

In September 2025, 2,586 electric loaders were sold, categorized by tonnage class as follows: 41 units under 3 tons, 82 units of 3 tons, 4 units of 4 tons, 1,576 units of 5 tons, 738 units of 6 tons, 128 units of 7 tons, 2 units of 8 tons, 8 units above 8 tons, and 7 skid steer loaders.
