How To Judge If The Hydraulic Breaker Cup Seal Is Damaged: Practical Guidelines

The cup seal is a critical component in the hydraulic system of a hydraulic breaker. Located between the rear cylinder block and the front cylinder block of the breaker, it plays a vital role in sealing and transmitting hydraulic oil. When the cup seal is damaged, it will cause hydraulic oil leakage, thereby affecting the normal operation of the hydraulic breaker. Below are practical methods to judge whether the hydraulic breaker cup seal is damaged.

1. Observe Hydraulic Oil Leakage

During operation, if you notice hydraulic oil leakage around the cylinder block or at the joints of the hydraulic breaker, this may be an obvious sign of cup seal damage.

Check the leakage point. If the leakage occurs at the position where the cup seal is located, it is very likely that the cup seal has been worn or cracked.

2. Check the Working Performance of the Hydraulic Breaker

When the cup seal is damaged, the impact force of the hydraulic breaker may be weakened. This is because the leaked hydraulic oil reduces the hydraulic pressure transmitted to the chisel.

If the hydraulic breaker shows obvious lack of power or reduced impact frequency during operation, it may be caused by cup seal damage.

3. Disassembly Inspection

If the above methods cannot determine whether the cup seal is damaged, you can consider disassembling the hydraulic breaker for inspection.

During the disassembly process, carefully check the wear condition of the cup seal, and whether there are cracks, deformation or other problems.

If obvious signs of damage are found on the cup seal, it is necessary to replace it with a new one.

4. Pay Attention to Other Relevant Factors

When judging whether the cup seal is damaged, it is also necessary to consider other factors that may affect the working performance of the hydraulic breaker, such as the quality of hydraulic oil, excessive oil temperature, and unstable system pressure.

These factors may also cause the abnormal operation of the hydraulic breaker, so comprehensive consideration is required when troubleshooting.

In summary, judging whether the hydraulic breaker cup seal is damaged can be carried out by observing hydraulic oil leakage, checking the working performance of the breaker, disassembling and inspecting, and paying attention to other relevant factors. If the cup seal is found to be damaged, it should be replaced in time to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic breaker. At the same time, regular maintenance of the hydraulic breaker is also an important measure to prevent cup seal damage.
